Chris Tavener - Live

  • The Button Warehouse stanley street sk11 6au Cheshire (map)
Chris Tavener is the witty, satirical songwriter saying things that everybody thinks, but nobody says. Rock ‘n’ roll infused with comedy. Folk dipped in satire. It’s like Peep Show set to music! If Jimmy Carr played guitar...he would be Chris Tavene…

Chris has been known to play as many as 350 gigs a year, making him one of the most hard-working singer-songwriters in the UK. He’s had endorsements from Carl Barat of The Libertines, Will Ferrell’s ‘Funny Or Die’, Paddy McGuinness, Jamie Lawson and Steve Lamacq of BBC 6 Music. Steve has played Chris’ tracks four times on national radio.

In 2018, he took on a 3-week European tour, swiftly followed by a 14-date headline UK tour with Gavin Osborn. He topped it all off with a performance at the famous Lowry Theatre for BBC Children In Need alongside Peter Hook (Joy Divison) and Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet).

As well as being an accomplished original artist, Chris performs energetic rock and pop cover songs for audiences of all ages. Whether it's The Beatles, David Bowie, Arctic Monkeys, George Ezra or Daft Punk - there's something to get everyone up and dancing.
