Experienced poets and performers John Lindley
and Joy Winkler first met in prison. In Styal women’s
prison in Cheshire to be precise. They were both
privileged to introduce poetry to the women inmates
there and ‘Inside’ is a collection of poems that
stemmed from that experience.
Amongst their many other independent projects,
Joy and John have also performed together as part
of two touring poetry shows: Bunch of Fives and
Fourpenny Circus.
