POEMS + PINTS With Guest Poet Tom England

  • The Button Warehouse Stanley Street Macclesfield, England, SK11 6au United Kingdom (map)

Guest poet Tom England Tom moved to Macclesfield around four years ago, having previously lived in Manchester, Durham, and London. He currently teaches A Level English, and in 2022 founded Night Owl Books, a new independent publisher of poetry, art and fiction in the North West. To date, he has published and edited three issues of The Greenhouse, which collects work by North West writers and artists, and which most recently has included poetry by Charles Heathcote and Joy Winkler of Poets and Pints. This summer, he also published and edited two volumes of poetry by Macclesfield writers - Rhymes for Young Nature Lovers by Sarah Taylor-Fergusson, and Darlings, deletions by Lisa Matthews. He also writes poetry reviews for the Suffolk- and Glasgow-based Osmosis Press. Submissions for the fourth issue of The Greenhouse are now open, on the theme of 'Time'.

Come and unwind with spoken word.

This is a chance to read your own poems or one of your favourites or just come and listen. Fantastic bar, come and have a drink, join in (or not) and relax!
