Do not for be fooled by James’s penchant for melody, his songs contain brutally honest lyrics delivered with a wry wit. Sonically harking back to the singer songwriter of the early 70's with some modern psychedelic twists. James has picked up influences along the road sometimes instantly recognisable sometimes less mainstream with some 'naughty chords' and the odd Nick Drake tuning.
